Spring City PA Basement Waterproofing

This customer had a partially finished basement with an attached garage that would take on water whenever there was a heavy rainfall. After waterproofing multiple properties of hers, she knew Basement Systems USA would get this job done and get it done right. We came out and installed Waterguard along the problematic wall as well as 3 Triple Safe Sump Pumps, SaniDry Dehumidifier, 4 Sunhouse enclosures for the basement windows and Wellducts installed below each window, that would tie into the draining system.

This Before And After will focus on one of the sump pump upgrades to our Triple Safe. As you can see the current sump pump was just an open pit with a pump, an open pit not only collects dirt and debris but will also allow odors and gases to escape from below the slab. Our Triple Safe Sump Pump comes with an airtight lid that will keep out bugs, debris, gases and quiets the noise of the pump. The Triple Safe also comes equipped with 3 pumps. We have the main pump which is a 1/3hp Zoeller pump, the second pump is a 1/2hp Zoeller that will operate when the first pump either fails, or gets overwhelmed and then the third and last pump is the battery back up pump that will turn on if and when power fails.

Triple Protection - TripleSafe Sump System installed in Wilmington, DE

This customer had lived in her 80 year old home for 20 years. Her basement periodically got wet during heavy rains, but during one particularly bad storm, so much water poured in, that after a short time, it was high enough to cover her ankles. Our inspector went out and found that only one wall was leaking, so the installation of 20 feet of WaterGuard was enough to keep the water from coming in. This basement had no sump pump, so we needed to install one. Not wanting to ever experience another flooded basement, our customer had us install a TripleSafe Sump System with battery back-up. As the name implies, the Triple Safe has three pumps. Pump 1 does the majority of the pumping. Pump 2 kicks in if Pump 1 is unable to keep up during a severe storm; and Pump 3 is the UltraSump Battery Back-up system. If you lose power, the UltraSump’s 120 amp power pack, when fully charged, can pump a total of 12,000 gallons of water, at 2,018 gallons per hour. Barring a severe storm that leaves you without power for more than a few days, the UltraSump should get you through until power is restored and the battery can begin to charge again.
