Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair in Elkton

Flooding, water seepage or even high humidity can quickly result in mold growth and water damage in your basement or crawl space. We prevent this from happening by installing an interior drainage system in the basement that is connected to a high volume sump pump. Any water that makes it to the basement is collected and pumped out of the home without you even noticing.

Just like the basement, in the crawl space we similarly place a sump pump system and dehumidifier to prevent water issues. The entire area is encapsulated with vapor barrier to prevent mold growth. Our crawl space system comes with a 25-year warranty.

We Provide:
  • Basement Waterproofing
  • Crawl Space Encapsulation
  • Exclusive, Patented Products
  • Humidity Control
  • Structural Repair
  • Basement Egress Windows
You Receive:
  • Permanently Dry Basement
  • Clean Protected Crawlspace
  • Protection against Mold
  • Improved Home Value

If the walls of the basement or bowing inwards we install wall anchors or braces to straighten the walls. If the floor above the crawl space is sagging we install SmartJack support jacks to raise the floor back to a level position. Our Elkton waterproofing systems come with lifetime warranties.

Basement Finishing & Remodeling in Elkton, MD

Waterproofing your basement prevents outside water from coming in but what if a pipe bursts or the water heater leaks inside the home. A newly finished basement done by your average contractor will mold and rot if there is an internal leak. You'll have to tear out your new basement! We fix this issue.

Our Products Include :
  • Waterproof, washable, insulated walls
  • Mold-Resistant, No-Sag suspended ceiling
  • Modular carpet, tile & faux wood flooring
  • Basement egress windows

  • Energy-efficient, double-paned basement windows
  • Attractive Sunhouse basement window wells
  • French, bifold, louvre & six-paneled steel doors

Unlike the average Elkton contractor we use completely inorganic, waterproof materials. Even if the basement floods your walls and floors will not be damaged by the water. These waterproof products are patented and are built to create an attractive finished basement that lasts a lifetime.

This basement was still wet from the last rain. It needed the patented basement waterproofing systems called WaterGuard.  WaterGuard is a system that is designed to go on top of the footer so that it will not get clogged by the mud that is next to the footer.

We also installed the ThermalWall vapor barrier so that moisture from the foundation wall would not evaporate into the basement.  We seal the top and tape the joints so that no air can escape.  The bottom of the vapor barrier is installed into the WaterGuard system so that moisture can drain away.  Now the basement has a guarantee against water seepage from the foundation walls but also will have less moisture in the air.  It is now ready to use.

Basement Waterproofing in Elkton, MD

Not long ago, a homeowner in Elkton, MD reached out to us at Basement Systems USA with a relatable yet troubling issue. Every time it rained, they faced the dreaded issue of water seeping into their beautifully finished basement. The situation had become so recurrent that the last rainfall forced them to pull up their carpet to prevent the onset of mold. Our recommended remedy for their woes was the installation of our WaterGuard system coupled with the highly efficient SuperSump pump. WaterGuard is an exceptional interior drainage system designed to sit at the perimeter of the basement floor, catching any water trying to seep in, while the SuperSump entirely sites the collected water out and away from the home.

Basement Waterproofing in Elkton, MD

When heavy rains in Elkton, MD, started trickling into where the wall meets the floor of a homeowner's finished basement, they knew they needed a solution fast. Water in the basement wasn’t just a nuisance; it was a threat to their home's structure and their well-being. We found exactly where and how water was making its unwelcome entry. Armed with this understanding, we recommended a reliable solution: WaterGuard. Our installation day was all about efficiency and care. Our foreman and capable installers arrived with everything needed to tackle the job. WaterGuard, our go-to for cases like these, was skillfully installed around the perimeter of the basement. The system is ingeniously designed to intercept and redirect water away before it even stands a chance to seep onto the basement floor.

Basement Waterproofing in Elkton, MD

This customer had an old french drain system in his basement. However, water would seep up through the floor when it rains. The carpet in the basement had to be removed due to excessive water intrusion, ruining the carpet. To solve these issues, our team installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the basement. This system was tied into the existing sump pump system in the basement.

Water Seeping From the Exterior Basement Steps

The customer had a problem with water coming into his basement from the steps.  Water was actually coming up from the floor at the base of the bottom step.  They also had water coming from the base of the foundation walls and the walls were very damp.

We installed a TrenchDrain in front of the step to capture water coming down the steps but also to relieve hydrostatic pressure from below.  Then we installed the WaterGuard system, which we connected to our SuperSump system.  To finish the job properly, we installed a vapor barrier over the walls to prevent moisture from entering the basement.
