Basement Systems USA is the local, family owned contractor in Coatesville for basement waterproofing and crawl space repair along with mold testing and removal. With over 75 years combined experience and a full-time, fully-trained staff we are ready to serve you and protect your home.
Flooding, water seepage or even high humidity can quickly result in mold growth and water damage in your Coatesville basement or crawl space. We prevent this from happening by installing an interior drainage system in the basement that is connected to a high volume sump pump. Any water that makes it to the basement is collected and pumped out of the home without you even noticing.
Just like the basement, in the crawl space we similarly place a sump pump system and dehumidifier to prevent water issues. The entire area is encapsulated with vapor barrier to prevent mold growth. Our crawl space system comes with a 25-year warranty.
If the walls of the basement are bowing inwards we install wall anchors or braces to straighten the walls. If the floor above the crawl space is sagging we install SmartJack support jacks to raise the floor back to a level position. Our Coatesville waterproofing systems come with life-time warranties.
At Basement Systems USA, we provide full mold remediation for Coatesville basements, including air sample testing. Our company has the ability to not just remediate the mold, but also remove the source of the mold, which is moisture. Unlike other mold remediation companies, our background in basement & crawlspace waterproofing allows us the make sure that the mold won't come back after it has been remediated. We are also AMA Certified.

This home had builder-grade fiberglass insulation on the basement walls. Fiberglass is organic and therefore not a good product to place against damp walls. The moisture content in the insulation will cause mold and drastically lower the R values, making it almost useless. We removed the bad insulation and installed FoaMax insulation boards. FoamMax will properly insulate this basement and also act as a vapor barrier. In addition to being a much better way to insulate foundation walls, they also look great and brighten up the whole basement.
