This customer wanted to have a code approved Egress Window well installed in their home so the basement could be finished and used.
We used an Egress Rockwell system to because it if by far the best Egress window well system available on the market. We also installed a WellDuct window well drain to guarantee that the water in the window well will never flood into the basement.
This was a fairly new home with a large, unfinished basement. Even though the basement was dry, the homeowner chose to invest in Total Basement Finishing (TBF) waterproof and mold resistant products. A good choice since as a home ages, the chances of having problems with moisture and mold increases. We installed TBF Everlast Wall System, Elite Plank flooring and a drop ceiling. In compliance with building codes, an egress window already existed, so we trimmed it out and made it pretty!
We upgraded the customer’s existing sump pump to a Zoeller M-53 with an UltraSump battery backup and installed a SaniDry XP Air System to keep the air fresh and dry.
We took out this old window out and installed an egres approved window and Rockwell window well. Work included interior drywall repair and a cover for the well. Inside we had to install a WellDuct window well drain. This drain takes water that might end up inside the window well and drain it into the interior drain tile system.
